In its sixth year, Oktoberfest in the Gardens hit’s Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in 2016, hence cementing its place as Australia’s biggest and best Oktoberfest celebration with an expected national attendance in excess of 60,000.
As the unofficial capital of this wonderful land, the national tour will be officially celebrated in Sydney with a keg tapping ceremony on Saturday, 29 October, where the Vice President of the world’s oldest brewery and event partner, Weihenstephan, plus one lucky guest will be responsible for tapping the first Sydney keg! Inspired by a deep love of the traditional Bavarian festival and great beer, Oktoberfest in the Gardens features two massive big top beer halls, authentic German food stalls, roving performers, sideshow alley, silent disco, and an eclectic mix of entertainment and on stage competitions across multiple stages throughout the afternoon and evening.
You’ll be able to taste your way across Europe with a large selection of imported German beer, cider, wine and a range of other beverages.
With an expected attendance of 15,000, Oktoberfest in the Gardens Sydney promises to be the biggest and best Oktoberfest event Australia has ever seen!
All ticket holders to the 2016 Oktoberfest in the Gardens event will receive a commemorative event stein (550ml).
